Chapter 001: Prologue [1]

The night rain is approaching, A fierce wind sprang up in the black bamboo forest.

The shadows of the trees are in a turmoil like monsters who bare fangs and brandish claws. The forest is pitch-dark; it seems like hiding man-eating ghosts. However, none of them as frightening as the footsteps behind Qin Wan.

Qin Wan was out of breath. She ran while looking back.

Caught up! That person is going to catch up!

The shiny black eyes were full of tears, Qin Wan holds her skirt and ran wildly to the bamboo forest exit with her full strength. Cold sweat dripping all over, steps like flying, but she did not expect a dead twig to appear at her feet.

Qin Wan suddenly slips and fell forward!

The dull pain in her knee made her eyes teary, but she didn't dare to waste time; she gritted her teeth and about to climb up. Suddenly, a figure from her back caught her ankle.

Qin Wan suddenly opened her eyes; shouted in a shrill voice: "Don't - help -"

That is a pair of man's big hand.

He ruthlessly grabs Qin Wan's thin tender lotus ankle, without waiting for an explanation he drags her to the depths of the bamboo forest.

Qin Wan trembled, she felt the killing intent of the person behind her. She risks her life as she stamps her foot; as her hands wanted to grab something, but there were only chaotic dead leaves on the ground.

She cried out desperately, watching herself go further and further away from the exit.

The strong wind broke out all around, Qin Wan was quickly dragged to the depths of the bamboo forest.

Qin Wan’s scream was concealed by the wind. When her ankle was released, the man grabbed her hair and violently lift her. Qin Wan yells with all her might: "Help! He——"

The yell was cut off; the man clutches her neck.

The man clutches her neck with an all-out strength until Qin Wan’s eyes were black. With a determined effort she grabs the man, but only saw the fierce light in the man's eyes.

Qin Wan knows that she can't escape, her throat is screaming, her eyes are pleading. She doesn't want to die.
